When will I need to staple Velcro to install the covers on my sofa?Updated 2 hours ago
If your sofa cover was originally designed to have Velcro, it’s very likely that your sofa would have a complement Velcro stapled to the sofa – many IKEA sofa models would have this, to give it that snug and upholstered look.
For sofas that don’t typically come with slipcovers, you’ll need to staple Velcro to your sofa frame if you’ve chosen a snug fit (non-skirted look). Our covers would come with Velcro sewn along the edges to help create that smooth, upholstered look. And we’d also include enough Velcro strips with your order so you can secure the covers to your frame during installation.
We also offer the customisation of a “short-skirt” which can be requested through our support agents. Essentially, this style exposes the sofa legs and you won’t be required to staple any Velcro anywhere, whatsoever. This would be a practical compromise between the two options above.
