What if my sofa dimensions don't match your product page information?Updated 9 months ago
If you're unsure about your sofa's size, it's best to double-check with us or the original sofa manufacturer or you can reach out to us here. To help us assist you better, please provide some photos of your furniture. This way, we can draw in guidelines for where to measure your sofa accurately.
If the dimensions are significantly different, you might have a different model or version of the sofa. In such cases, we might need to custom-make your slipcovers to ensure they fit perfectly.
Here are a few important points to consider:
Slight Variations Are Normal! Despite advances in manufacturing technology, sofas are still built and assembled by individuals, so minor size variations can exist. Typically, differences within 1-2 cm (or up to 1/2") are negligible and can often be attributed to minor measurement errors or variations from when your sofa was built.
More often than not, the differences in dimensions are due to how sofa manufacturers publish their measurements. These measurements are usually the overall size to help buyers judge if the sofa can fit their space or through entryways during delivery. They also tend to include the cushions. For example, the height often includes the back cushion protruding over the backrest. Similarly, the seat cushion design on some sofas might cause a slight protrusion in front that is included in the overall depth.
Our Approach
We decided to use the same measurements published by sofa manufacturers as these are most familiar to our customers. However, we're still evaluating the best method and would love to hear your thoughts on this! Feel free to share your feedback via our Contact Us page.
